How to register a .mk domain.
The steps, the documents for individuals and companies, and the prices, according to MARnet rules.
A .mk domain is registered through a registrar accredited by MARnet: check that the name is free, order and pay, then submit the Internet domain request with an identification document (an identity document for an individual, a current company extract from the Central Registry for a legal entity). The domain is activated once MARnet approves the request. Max Hosting is an official registrar of .mk and .мкд domains, accredited by MARnet. With us a .mk domain costs 900 MKD for the first year.
.mk is the national domain of North Macedonia, and .мкд is its Cyrillic version. Both are run by MARnet and can only be registered through an accredited registrar.

Step by step
- 1Check the nameSearch for the name on the domains page. A .mk domain name has 2 to 63 characters: Latin letters, digits and hyphens.
- 2Order and payPay by card or by pro-forma invoice.
- 3Submit the requestIn the client panel, the Internet domain request is pre-filled with the order details. Check them, submit the request and attach the documents.
- 4MARnet approves the domainWe send the request to MARnet. The domain is activated after approval and you receive a confirmation.

The owner's details are public
There is no private registration for domains run by MARnet: registrant details are published in WHOIS (Article 15 of the Rulebook).
Changes must be reported within eight days
If the registrant or contact details change, the change must be reported within eight days (Article 30). In the client panel this is a request to MARnet for each domain.
Cyrillic or Latin
A domestic registrant writes their name in Cyrillic, exactly as in their identity document or company extract. If the name does not match the document, MARnet returns the request.
Up to 10 years ahead
A domain is registered or renewed for 1 to 10 years. Transferring a .mk domain to Max Hosting is free.
